Sunday September 15, 2013

Appellate court of Kapisa province released the suspects accused of killing Mohsen Hashemi the executive director of Sadaa-e Najrab radio.

Two months ago the primary court of Nijrab district of Kapisa sentenced Maolawi Muhammad Asef and Waseem the

brother of Mohsen Hashemi for 16 years. The same court released two other suspects  Qari Arif, Hashemi's younger brother and his Father Mohammad Hashem due to "lack of evidence".

According to the judicial authorities of Kapisa in trial court on Wednesday due to lack of evidence the defendants of murdering Mohsen Hashemi were released.

However the prosecutor of this case says that he has objection against the result. He further includes that there are enough evidence to show that Mr. Mohsen Hashemi's father and brothers are involved in the murder and through attorney general he will appeal to Supreme Court.

Before the court's result Mrs. Mohsen Hashemi expressed her concern that due to the corruption in the judiciary system the suspects might be released. But she also wanted all the defendants in this case to be executed.

Mr. Mohsen Hashemi disappeared in 2nd May this year and after 18 days his body was found in a veil in Par Pot village which is located 500 meters away from his house and six miles from Nijrab distric of Kapisa province.
